People learn differently. As a nonprofit, RFB&D is the nation�s largest audio library of accessible educational materials with more than 560,000 books in circulation.

The Need is Urgent:

One in seven Americans (or 15% of the U.S. population) has some type of learning disability
Just 57% of students with learning disabilities graduate high school�compared to 88% of the general student population
One in five students has a learning disability
As many as 1.8 million bright and intellectually capable students in American classrooms cannot read because of a learning difference such as dyslexia
More than five million Americans have visual impairments
More than 39% of children with learning disabilities drop out of high school compared to 11% of the general education population
