Photo of Regional Executive Director Lenora MartinMessage from the Regional Executive Director: Welcome to the newly established Southeast Region! Our region was officially formed April 1, 2009 by integrating five fund development offices, three recording studios and an established Florida DOE-funded educational outreach program. The Southeast Region serves students in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi; we have identified 316,584 students in those seven states who need our services to succeed in school because they cannot read standard print because of a visual impairment, a learning disability such as dyslexia, or other physical disability. At present we are serving 14.2% of this targeted group. To close the large gap and reach these students who can benefit from RFB&D services, it will require an enormous commitment on the part of the RFB&D family of staff, volunteers, and the financial support from our community. RFB&D has no guaranteed sources of funding so we rely on the generosity and support of individuals, foundations, corporations and organizations.

RFB&D is growing and continuously improving our programs, services and technology and we are multiplying our efforts to reach the students and professionals who are today frustrated and searching for solutions. Your reading this message tells me you are one of the many individuals who will help us spread the RFB&D word across the Southeast (and nationwide) - thank you. Our vision and mission are too important to remain inactive. Please contact us if you would like to get involved or could benefit from our services.
- Lenora Martin
